CIT Thunder Beach Application: Summer 2019
The Counsellor In Training (CIT) position is a part time, unpaid, entry level position for Thunder Beach teens interested in a future counseling position with the Thunder Beach Children’s Program. A certificate of community hours is given after the successful completion of the term. Applicants should display leadership qualities, an enthusiastic attitude and a keen interest in working with children. Applicants must be at least 14 yrs old (as of December 31, 2018) to apply. Preference will be given to applicants who have participated in the Association’s camp program. Chosen candidates should be available for training sessions, most likely scheduled on Friday, June 28. It should also be noted that July CIT's are required to work Field Day on June 29.

PLEASE NOTE:
1. It is expected that CIT's are available for a consecutive period of 4 weeks. On occasion, we are not able to hire CIT's for the entire 4 weeks as we do try to give all eligible applicants a chance. However, availability for 4 weeks is expected as we do hope to hire on a monthly basis.
2. If there are dates that you know you are unavailable for, please list them in the area provided.
3. Once you have applied to this position, it is expected that you will check the email you have provided as your contact, at least once per week in order to reply promptly to our communication. As this is our Primary form of communication it is essential that you (the applicant) personally respond within a week of any communication as we try to prepare for this terrific camp.
4. All CIT's and Counsellors must be an active member of the Thunder Beach Association.
