VIRTUE WORKS Book/Media Contributor Form
This is how to gather the information needed to submit a title for the Virtue Works Media Guide. Thank you so much for helping with this important work to save souls and renew culture one book and movie at a time! You are helping initiate a radical paradigm shift for Americans, especially Catholics, to look at the media we consume through the lens of virtue.

It typically takes about 30 to 45 minutes to enter the information to submit a title. The title you submit will then be cleared through the final VIRTUE WORKS vetting process and then can be added to the VWM Guide! The goal is to have this list packed with fantastic virtue filled religious and non-religious, classic and contemporary, titles: both books and movies.

Authors/Directors CAN NOT submit their own titles. Team up and submit for each other! Editors, producers, etc. who worked on developing a title can submit, but will do so as an individual.

After you make sure your title is consistent with the "Ten Commandments for Content" (Those are the first ten questions) then you can begin to enter the rest of your VWM Guide Title information.

Here's a simple distinction to keep in mind:
CHILDREN"S TITLES need to be wholly consistent with the Ten Commandments for Content.

TEEN AND GROWN-UP TITLES can include story lines that veer away from God's norms for us but the story must then be resolved in a redemptive way that honor's God's Top Ten in the end. These stories need to demonstrate the consequences of sinful choices and if they mention anything that relates to God's norms, His holy will must ULTIMATELY be honored. Redemption is KEY. However, stories that portray visual or narrative pornography are automatically dis-qualified.

***Something fun to note: When the VWM Guide is available (Ultimately available on both desktop and moblie apps) the VIRTUE RATING will reflect dynamic, user engaged values. As a contributor, you will set the baseline, but qualified users will add to the rating also. To keep things from getting out of hand, ratings will never go beyond a V-10.

Just follow along and respond with either a short answer, one multiple choice or any check boxes that apply.

Thanks so much for helping out! Creating this list can't be done without you!

Compiling this information and offering it via an easily searchable hub will be a game changer culturally and spiritually. (And even professionally for Catholic writers and media creators.) No more will great information about virtue rich books and movies be buried in a blogroll or lost on an individual list. We are building a modern mechanism for easy access to information about virtue rich books and media. Think Common Sense Media for the soul.

NEWS & REVIEWS This is where you find 3 articles that give honest praise about the title. Copy and paste a link for each. They can be: author interviews, book reviews or information related specific to the story. They can be links to print articles or video segments. You can include info. from blogs and larger news sources. It is good to include when you can: a Catholic review/articles about the secular titles and a secular article about the religious titles. Be sure to READ the article and make sure it does not go off on any kind on heretical tangent. This is where the integrity of this VIRTUE WORKS project is on the line. We must provide honest "social proof" that the title possesses BOTH quality craft and quality content. Watch out for and avoid "jaded" reviews from commentators for whom anything with faith or virtue is looked upon as "sappy" or who obviously express dissent from the Catholic Church in the review. If there are not enough reviews or articles relating specifically to the story, then include one or two that expand upon the theme of the story in a faith affirming way. (Example: For the Bakhita movie, the third "News & Reviews" link is an article from a Cardinal about St. Bakhita and human trafficking.) If you are an author or blogger, you may include a link to your own article or blog about this specific title as the 3rd link choice.
