Adopt-A-Box Opening Ceremony - Thursday, April 24, 2014 @ 5:00PM

Take ownership of the IUSB Unity Garden - Located at River Cross Camps Housing, behind the Creek building

During this event you will plant your ceremonial “First Seed!” It is important to know that different foods need to be planted on different dates, and the seed that you plant may need to wait a couple more weeks. This is OK! The Sustainability and Wellness Club will see to it that your food will be planted.

Your individual garden will require pulling weeds, watering, and some good ol’ TLC. If members of your club come by just once a week, then your portion of the garden may get a little out of control. Plus plants need to be watered more than once a week. The S&W Club will try to maintain the garden as best as we can, but we cannot do it alone.

Also, make sure to harvest your fruits or vegetables whenever possible, or someone else will. This garden has always been open to the public and people from across the city stop by from time to time. You are welcome to pick any foods that you would like.

If you have any questions, please email S&W Club President, Ian Spink at iatspink@iusb.edu or Mike Staszewski at mstaszew@umail.iu.edu

Thank you for helping to make IUSB a better and healthier place for all!
