School Board Meeting Celebrations & Recognition Requests
Please note that we want to celebrate and recognize the wonderful occurrences within our district and community during the regular monthly meetings of the DeSoto ISD School Board. The meetings generally began at 6:30 p.m. and are held in the ISC Building located at 200 E. Belt Line Road in DeSoto. (Currently, the meetings are virtual due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the Revised Open Meetings Act. We are not inviting guests to attend at this time, but are still sharing the recognition).

Who can be recognized?
Staff, students, and community stakeholders who have partnered or donated to our school district in an impactful way.

What Qualifies as a Celebration?
Celebrations are local happenings that meaningfully impact a campus or department or are the result of a local contribution or effort.

What Qualifies as a Recognition?
Recognitions are more global in nature and impact at least two campuses. Also, this category includes national, state awards, or recognition, and all donations.

However, note that your request here will be reviewed by the Communications Department and District Leadership to ensure that it is appropriate for this venue. There may be instances in which you will be contacted to allow us to share this recognition in another manner.

PLEASE NOTE: The Communications Department will extend the official invitation for participants to be present for the public recognition to both groups.

ALSO, all requests MUST be submitted by the SECOND FRIDAY or no later than 2 weeks to date of the next school board meeting.
