July Teaching Skills Workshop - July 23, 2013 - Crossword Puzzles and Other Active Learning Strategies Delivered via the Web

Crossword puzzles and other gaming activities may be one way to help you do this. Join us for this fun workshop and take make new ideas you can immediately incorporate in your class.
Learning Objectives
1. Learn how various puzzles can be deployed to Blackboard, paper, or the Web.
a. Examples of programs available on the web, for purchase, and for free at UTMB.
b. Show how to use SoftChalk and Blackboard to make a crossword puzzle
c. A few lessons from our experiences
2. Discover how you can use drag and drop developed in Director (@Adobe).
a. Example showing steroid synthesis pathway
3. Understand the procedure for using SoftChalk with Blackboard to make crossword puzzles for your course.
