Thank you for your interest in our community garden. This garden was begun in 2012 as a ministry of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, with the goal of donating fresh, organic produce to local food pantries and helping to alleviate hunger on Aquidneck Island. Our intention is to bring organic gardening within reach of a larger local population while encouraging gardeners to donate excess fruits and vegetables to the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center or other food pantries.
We are pleased to announce that a plot for the upcoming growing season is FREE! Please consider growing your own vegetables and flowers this year at St. Mary's and supporting our community with your harvest.
If you would like to apply for a plot, please review the following agreement, complete the form, and submit it. Upon completion, the garden coordinator (Elise LaParle Garcia,
garden@smcportsmouth.org) will assign you a plot and contact you with your plot number when available.
