Volunteer at the Winter Farmers' Market!
DATE: January 25, 2020
WHERE: Wentworth Greenhouses, 141 Rollins Road Rollinsford, NH

Seacoast Eat Local markets are community events and volunteers make them awesome! The morning crew helps with market set-up, assists with vendor parking, and helps unload vendor vehicles. Volunteers during the market help at the info booth and around the market, counting customers and answering questions.

See the volunteer descriptions below to find your best fit!

Thank you for all your help!

Set-up Crew
Please be comfortable with working on your feet, and able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs. There will be lots of assistance from SEL staff and other volunteers. Report to Information Table at 7:45am for further instructions (all training is done on the job) Best part about this shift is that you will be first in line to start shopping when the market begins! [No checkboxes below? That means this volunteer shift is all covered!]
Information & merchandise table
Welcome customers, answer their questions, and sell fundraising items (local salt, tote bags, t-shirts, books, etc). Need to be able to be on your feet for the entire 2 hours. Customer service skills are required, as well as familiarity with local food and farms. Great way to meet people within our community, help promote eating locally, and you can shop before or after your shift! [No checkboxes below? That means this volunteer shift is all covered!]
Greeters & Counters
Greet folks entering the market and keep tallies with click counters. Please be comfortable with standing on your feet the entire hour. Check in at the information booth 10 minutes prior to your shift for an overview. Do you LOVE greeting market-goers at the door? Feel free to sign up for more than one shift! [No checkboxes below? That means this volunteer shift is all covered!]
Thank you for donating your time to create a better community through local food produced in ways that promote the health of people, planet, and community!
One more question! Want to be on our volunteer email list?
We send out emails in advance of volunteer opportunities including farm gleanings, Seacoast Harvest work, and Winter Markets of course!
