Thank you for your desire to volunteer at Academy Prep. We know finding extra time in your schedule each week or every other week can be difficult, so please know that we value your time.
At Academy Prep we have several different opportunities for you to volunteer.
- Library assistance: recommend books, checking in and out books to students, straightening shelves, etc.
- Tutoring students: subjects include Math, English, Social Studies, Science, and/or Spanish
- Front Office Help: filing, answering phones, receiving mail and packages, assistance with student dismissals, general light office work
- Kitchen assistance: help to serve breakfast and/or lunch, cleaning kitchen utensils and counters
- Classroom assistance: help teacher with grading, facilitating small groups, reading to classes, study hall assistance
- Supervision of scholars: during Recess or Enrichments
- Mentoring: commit to weekly or bi-weekly 1 hour meetings with one or more scholars (You must commit to mentoring at least until the end of the current school year)
