Mark Henry was a friend to many in the meetings industry. He was a long time GMC member and a wonderful volunteer leader. Sadly, he passed away in December 2017. To honor his legacy, GMC PCMA has created the Mark Henry Scholarship, the purpose of which is to help members new to the industry fund the costs of meeting registration and other meetings related expenses, so they can attend, experience, and participate in our industry events.

 In 2022, because of the impact of COVID-19, applications are open to all regardless of years in the industry.

This application is open through October 9th.

All recipients of the Mark Henry Scholarship are required to actively serve on a GMC PCMA Committee.

Awards Available:

PCMA Convening Leaders 2023 (Columbus) Scholarship - maximum award of $2000:  This scholarship includes reimbursement for coach class/non-refunded/21 day + advance purchase airfare to and from the host destination; a 4-night hotel stay at one of the PCMA contracted hotels; member registration fee; and a 4-day stipend based on the per diem standards for that host destination. GMC-PCMA will reimburse the recipient upon receipt of actual documentation of purchased air, registration and hotel booking within the meeting block.  Any additional expenses incurred related to attendance and/or for this event will be the sole responsibility of the award recipient.
