Local Artist Performances at Diwali Mela is a great way to showcase their talent in front of entire Dallas/DFW community and celebrate together the spirit of Diwali. We are looking for Artists that are either classical, semi-classical or folk. If it is a Bollywood performance, we request it to be directly related to Diwali or any other cultural theme. The number of slots are limited as we want to diversify talent and represent all parts of India. Here are some guidelines:
- All performances must have a Diwali or cultural theme.
- All costumes, props, etc. must be appropriate for a cultural and family audience.
- Only one item will be allowed for performance.
- Performing artist cannot be involved with any other performance at Diwali Mela that might conflict with this performance.
- Participation is free of charge, and there is no registration fee. We request the participants to sell/ bring 50 of their friends and family to the event. Please purchase your entrance tickets for the Diwali Mela. No parking pass will be provided to any participant.
- Please share your song/instruments/or any other performance with Organizers so that we can plan the schedule.
ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS OR BY SEPTEMBER 25, 2023 MIDNIGHT CST, WHICHEVER COMES FIRST. ONLY LIMITED SLOTS ARE AVAILABLE, SO REGISTER YOUR GROUP AT THE EARLIEST. REGISTRATION WILL BE CLOSED AFTER THE SLOTS ARE FILLED.
The Local Artist Performances will start promptly at 5.30 pm. All groups should arrive at the communicated time and check-in at the Local Artist Registration Desk. Make sure all the participants are present at the time of check-in. Performance will be cancelled if artist does not arrive on time.
