All In!
As you consider the six pledges below, commit to them as God gives you strength and motivates with His love demonstrated by a blood-stained cross and empty tomb. Know that you won't keep them perfectly (no one will), and yet, through Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit, each of us can commit to being the best partners. We commit, fully knowing that our sin will be met with his grace: met and overwhelmed. This document helps us understand annually who is in doctrinal fellowship with St. Mark Ministries (and the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod) and wants to continue to identify with St. Mark as their faith church home.  May God move in us as we recommit to Him and each other.

I am a St. Mark partner. It’s not membership as in a civic organization or a country club. It’s the kind of membership and partnership given to us in the New Testament: “Now you are the body of Christ, and individual members of it” (1 Corinthians 12:27). Because I am a member of the body of Christ, I am called to be a functioning partner. I will give. I will serve. I will minister. I will evangelize. I will study. I will seek to be a blessing to others. I will remember that “if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it” (1 Corinthians 12:26). "I pray that your partnership with us in the faith may be effective in deepening your understanding of every good thing we share for the sake of Christ" (Philemon 1). I am a unifying partner. I will seek to be a source of unity in my church. I know there are no perfect pastors, staff, or other church partners: neither am I. I will try not to be a source of gossip or dissension. One of the greatest contributions I can make is to do all I can in God’s power to help keep the church in unity for the sake of the Gospel. I am an others-centered partner. I will strive to not let my church be about my personal preferences/desires or allow them to stand in the way of better equipping Jesus followers or reaching people far from Jesus. I will not be self-serving. I am a partner with this church to serve others and to serve Christ. I will support always trying to gain an audience for the Gospel. My Savior went to a cross for me. I can deal with any inconveniences and matters that just aren’t my preference or style.  (Please write your name below in order to sign your name to this pledge) *
I am a supporting partner. (Colossians 4:3) I will pray regularly for my pastors. (Philippians 4:6-7) I understand that the pastor’s work is never ending. His days are filled with numerous demands that bring emotional highs and lows. He must deal with critics. He must be a good husband and father. Because my pastors cannot do all things in their own power, I will pray for their strength and wisdom daily. (Please write your name below in order to sign your name to this pledge) *
I am a partner who leads. (Deuteronomy 11:19) I will lead my family to be good partners of this church as well. We will pray together for our church. (1 Timothy 2:1-4) We will serve together in our church. And we will ask Christ to help us fall deeper in love with this church because He gave His life for her. I am a grateful partner. This partnership is a gift. (Romans 8:32) When I received the free gift of salvation through Christ Jesus, I became a part of the body of Christ. I soon thereafter identified with a local body and treasured the Lord's Supper and Baptism. And now I am humbled and honored to serve and to love others in our church. (Colossians 3:16) I pray that I will never take my partnership for granted, but see it as a gift and opportunity to serve others and be part of something so much greater than any one person or partner.
