This form is used to inform the Honors Program of your intent to enroll and complete HNR 110 - Honors In Practice. Information collected will be used to confirm your eligibility and to ensure you have a proper structured learning experience established. *You must have a structured learning experience in place PRIOR to beginning this course.
HNR 110: Honors in Practice
This 1-credit course allows students to explore and/or apply their knowledge and skills gained as part of their overall experience in the program. Students develop, propose and then participate in a structured learning experience that aligns closely with their field of study, personal interest and the Honors Program pillars.
Structured Learning Experience Expectations
1. Students must develop/establish of the following experiences prior to the start of the semester:
- an internship,
- job shadows,
- a substantive volunteer role or project,
- acquire a on-campus leadership role,
- perform a significant student employment position in a GRCC office or,
- commit to participating on a GRCC committee
2. Students must complete (30) hours towards their structured learning experience over the span of a semester.

- President of the GRCC ARTS Club
- Department of Experiential Learning Social Media Internship
- Meijer Internship
- Volunteer at Blandford Nature Center
This class will meet (3-4) times over the course of the semester. The schedule of these dates/times will be determined based on student availability and communicated prior to the start of the semester.
