The Houston Food Bank is the largest food bank in the United States in size and distribution that supports 1 million food-insecure individuals in 18 southeast Texas counties, delivering essential resources through a network of over 1,600 community partners via food pantries, soup kitchens, meal sites and shelters. They also provide programs and services focused on long-term stability, including nutrition education, health management, assistance in accessing state-funded aid and other efforts that help strengthen our community.

Half a CS credit is given per hour volunteered and another half credit is given for Hours of Verification letter
3 hours of volunteering and a picture/screenshot of your Hours Verification Letter
will result in 1.5 hours of Community Service for teachHOUSTON.
You can get an Hours Verification Letter by requesting one at the Welcome Desk at the end of your shift or you can make an hours verification request through their email hfbvolunteer@houstonfoodbank.org. If you use email forward verification to the CS Director at thsscomserv@gmail.com
