Thank you for your interest in C.C. Urie's Hype Team! As members, you will help promote C.C.'s upcoming Contemporary Christian Romance - Project Deadgrove 2. It's going to be your job to share important information about the book/series like the Series Title reveal, Title reveal, Cover reveal, and all the other things that come with the release. She will be accepting up to
200 people, and signups will close
April 30th, 2026.
So where is C.C. at in the process currently?
The most recent milestone C.C. has begun the editing process. She anticipates a November 1st, release and hopes to have everything ready to go by August. Advertising for Project Deadgrove 2 will begin in September 2026.
What is expected of me if I sign up?
As mentioned above, you'll be responsible for hyping up the book on Social Media. C.C. provides multiple graphics to choose from (or you can make your own if you have certain aesthetics on your pages), written content to include with your post, and the hashtags she'd like you to include. Anything extra on your end (additional posts, reels, stories) will always be encouraged and welcome. Since C.C. is self-published, she has a lot to do when it comes to releases. Any extra help is a blessing.
What is the book about?
Project Deadgrove 2 is the continuation of Southern Charm. Project Deadgrove 2 picks up right where Southern Charm left off with two new main characters and a whole new romance. As C.C. mentioned when advertising for Southern Charm, the Hearts of Deadgrove series will move through the friend group, meaning this book will feature POVs from either Boon, Hitch, or Havoc. Signing up for the Hype Team will give you early access to who the new book will be about. It will include the Tropes:

~FMC lives a life of sin (before she's saved) and tries to get a taken man
~FMC has a moment where she turns to dink before she's saved
~FMC is stalked by an obsessive character who ultimately kidnaps her
~FMC is ill a few times in the book--nothing is described but the 3 scenes could be triggering to readers with emetophobia
~FMC has an encounter where she's almost SA'd but it's stopped in time
~Some of the language used by the non-Christian characters might make some readers uncomfortable (no swearing, just derogatory terms for women)
~When the main couple finally get together, the FMC is still legally married to her abusive husband. They kiss, nothing more, but some readers might consider their relationship cheating.
