San Jose Tet Festival Nón Lá Challenge
Teams of 8 or less, must submit their videos by Friday, February 3 for voting by online audience. Videos should be uploaded to YouTube. In the one minute or less video, they should demonstrate tricks or choreography using the Nón Lá (Vietnamese conical hat). This competition is open to anyone, not just people who are Vietnamese.

First round
4 teams with most online votes will be invited to compete on stage in bracket tournament style competition. Each team has one minute to impress the audience. The winner between each set of two teams, determined by how loud the crowd cheers, will advance to the final round. The first routine can be the same or different than the one used in the video submission.

Final round
Final two teams compete on stage and each have another minute to impress the audience. They have one minute to wow the crowd. The routine should be different than the one used in the first round.

Winners get a $100 cash prize and a professional quality video made of them after the festival, doing a routine for posting on YouTube and bragging rights of being the San Jose Tet Festival Nón Lá Challenge Champions 2017.

We will contact the four teams that are finalists based on the online voting after the voting ends on February 6. You can expect to be contacted on Tuesday, February 7 with additional details.
