South Carolina Commission on Higher Education Centers of Excellence Initiative (Fall Seminar)
The Science of Reading Seminar is designed for educator preparation faculty who work with Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, and Special Education programs. Participation requires the recommendation of the institution’s Dean of Education. Multiple faculty members from the same institution are encouraged to participate; however, only one Resource Support Grant application per institution is allowed.  Faculty participation in the seminar will enable the institution to apply for a Resource Support Grant to purchase instructional materials and resources that support the integration of Science of Reading practices into educator preparation coursework.

Registration Deadline: October 16, 2026
Capacity: 30 participants                                                                                                              
Location: SC Health Campus, Columbia, SC. Directions to the venue will be provided to registered participants prior to the seminar.
