The Midwest Injury Prevention Alliance is excited to announce the kickoff of our 2021 webinar series on Wednesday March 10, 2021 from 2-3pm EST. We are excited to welcome Dale O. Ritzel, PhD, FAASE, Professor of Public Health and Director Emeritus, Safety Center, School of Human Sciences, Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Dr. Ritzel will be speaking about Marijuana and Teenage Driving Risks in Illinois. The presentation will:
- Discuss marijuana laws in Illinois, other states’ marijuana laws, and vehicle crash rates
- Discuss the use of marijuana by teenagers in Illinois and other states
- Identify marijuana effects on the body and teenage brain, and likely effects on teenage driving
