Amara Legal Center Criminal Record Clearing Clinic Appointment Request Form: September 21 and 22, 2023
The Amara Legal Center is offering free video and phone consultations with attorneys for sex trafficking survivors and sex workers interested in clearing their criminal records. Attorneys will interview you and assess whether you are eligible for expungement, record sealing, or vacatur. Attorneys are available to provide brief advice on record-clearing in DC. Please provide your contact information below to request an appointment.  Individuals who do not meet Amara's eligibility criteria (involvement in commercial sex) will receive referrals to other organizations. Note: Sex trafficking is when someone is coerced or forced to engage in commercial sex or when someone under age 18 engages in commercial sex. Commercial sex is the exchange of sex for money, housing, or anything of value. 
Sex work includes any form of consensual commercial sexual activity such as sexually explicit performances, participation in the production of pornography, performance in a strip club, or exotic dancing or display.
