How the Hostile Environment Policy is Practiced in Universities
Unis Resist Border Controls is interested in understanding how Tiers 2 and 5 university staff and Tier 4 students are monitored by universities as part of the Hostile Environment insider higher education. Unlike the Prevent policy, Home Office monitoring of migrants staff and students is not a uniform process; monitoring is applied differently by each institution.

For this reason, we have created a survey for university staff members to help us as fellow educators and migrant-rights activists learn how the hostile environment policy is being administered nationwide in higher education institutions. Monitoring can include being required to report your whereabouts to HR when off campus, biometric fingerprinting and electronic tracking just to name a few examples. We would encourage you to explore your institution's current policies and practices regarding international staff and students. Please answer the questions to the best of your ability. If you have any further evidence that you would like to share directly, please e-mail: UnisResistBorderControls@gmail.com

** DEADLINE TO COMPLETE SURVEY: MONDAY 29TH OCTOBER 2018 **
