2014-15 Latino Studies Dissertation Year Fellowship

The Latino Studies Program is accepting applications for a Dissertation Year Fellowship for 2014-15. The fellowship includes a stipend of $18,000 and student health insurance coverage. It does not include a fee remission. The award will enable a doctoral candidate to engage in work leading to the completion of a Ph.D. dissertation.

Eligibility: Applicants must be enrolled in a doctoral degree program within the College of Arts & Sciences and must be formally advanced to candidacy by July 31, 2014. Preference will be given to projects that enrich knowledge about Latino populations residing in the United States, however projects involving transnational (US-Latin American) populations or comparative frameworks are also acceptable. During the fellowship year, the student is expected to devote full time to dissertation work and to participate in the Latino Studies Program’s scholarly activities in Bloomington.
