Form description
The Work-Study Research Assistant (WSRA) Program provides select Clarkson students with a valuable job on campus, while providing faculty with support for their research. The goal of the WSRA Program is to develop transferable skills and students must be meaningfully engaged in research: these are not clerical or lab maintenance positions. WRSAs may be expected to assist with literature reviews, data collection and analysis, transcriptions of interviews, laboratory techniques, programming and computational methods, graphics and writing.
WSRAs are limited to a maximum of 12 hours per week during the regular semester, and a maximum of 150 hours per semester. The University will pay 75% of the student's salary, while the faculty member is expected to pay the other 25% from his/her individual research funds. WSRAs typically receive minimum wage ($10.40), although they may be paid more, commensurate with qualifications and duties.
Data in this form will be used to create a WRSA Position Announcement that will be posted for applicants. Where possible please use non-technical language targeted at undergraduate students. Applications will be forwarded to you upon the position closing date.
