    Limitations of the Public Health Writing Program

    The School of Public Health Education Office strives to ensure that writing assistants are prepared and qualified to work with students being assisted, but makes no promises regarding grade expectations. There exists a consensual agreement among all parties that the public health writing program exists on an as available basis without promise that the student’s grades will improve or change.

    Responsiblities

    SPH degree candidates may have a writing skill sessions with the following stipulations: •come to the writing sessions prepared to describe how the writing assistant can assist you (i.e. the writing skill that of your writing that you would like to improve) bring printed and/or electronic copies of at least two pieces of writing that contain examples of the writing issues you wish to work on. •Arrive to your appointment on time. Any student who does not attend an appointment as scheduled (either you did not come to the appointment or you were more than 15 minutes late) will be marked as Missed. Once you have two missed appointments, you will be unable to make or attend any future appointments until you have come to the office and program coordinator about your attendance.
