Do you stand for love and the freedom to marry? Say "I do!"
Marriage is about loving, committed couples who want to make a lifelong promise to take care of and be responsible for each other, in good times and bad. Same sex couples in Montana were afforded the freedom to marry in November 2014 after District Court Judge Morrison ruled on the Rolando vs Fox marriage challenge.
But many Americans are still waiting to marry the love of their life. Soon, the Supreme Court of the United States will be issuing a decision that will affect the freedom to marry for all.
Our fight for LGBT rights will not end with a Supreme Court decision however. The ACLU of Montana is committed to working to assure access to marriage and the benefits and responsibilities that are part of that commitment.
