Apply Now for 2018-19 Youth-Led Social Change Project
The Youth Activism Project (youthactivismproject.org) helps young activists drive local and global change. Since 2004, we have supported dozens of student-initiated campaigns addressing causes from promoting girls’ education globally to fighting sugary drinks to ending gun violence. We have coached teen advocates who influenced the passage of six local and federal laws, raised $70,000 for their causes, and published two how-to action guides by youth, for youth.

We are excited to expand our program to support high schoolers across the United States to help launch youth-led campaigns. These campaigns can address any local or national human rights issue that you are passionate about--or we can help you pick an issue! All students who apply will get exclusive FREE access to our new YOUth ACTivism Guide to Change, which will help you:

- Recruit people to join your campaign
- Brainstorm and select a shared purpose
- Identify and choose effective campaign tactics
- Reflect on impact and keep your campaign going from one year to the next

We will also help youth teams identify an Adult Ally, who will act as a guide and a liaison for each group. If you know an adult (like a teacher, mentor, etc.) who might be interested in this role, please indicate that on this form. If not, we will match students with a volunteer Ally in our network. Students can apply solo, with a partner, or as a team.

Your participation in our program and your feedback about your experience will help us make this a better experience for youth in the future. So not only will you get to help your community, you will also help thousands of youth in the future make change in their own communities!

So hurry and apply today! Please email us with any questions or suggestions at anika@youthactivismproject.org.
