Internship Information
If you are requesting permission to add CO 4053, you must have an internship that meets the requirements for the course.  The information you provide below will help make that determination.  If you have not secured an internship, please do not submit this form until you have done so.
Where are you planning to intern?  (Give the name of the organization and the location of the internship. If you will be interning remotely, please indicate that.) *
Describe the work you will be doing and tell how it aligns with your major concentration. *
Please be as specific as possible, and indicate how the work aligns with the coursework in your concentration.  Some internships are an obvious fit for a student's concentration, such as a journalism student writing for a newspaper or a broadcasting student interning at a news station.  In some cases, internships don't clearly and obviously fit within a student's concentration area, and a case needs to be made demonstrating that the internship should still qualify for the Internship in Communication course.  If the work does not align with the communication major, the request to take the course will not be approved.
Have you secured the internship? *
If you have not secured the position, at the end of this form please explain when you expect to have the internship secured.
Required

The student intern should be supervised and mentored by a professional in his or her field of study.
