EE Makerspace Guest Artist Application

Hello! Thank you for your interest in teaching at the Explore Ecology Makerspace above Art From Scrap! We are always looking for artists to teach adult art workshops and share their skills. 

Adult workshops are held almost every week of the month.  Classes of up to 20 participants typically run for 2 hours and start at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday to Friday or 2 p.m. on Saturday. Explore Ecology provides all necessary materials. If your workshop needs specialty materials that you prefer to provide, please note that below. 

Artists are paid on a sliding scale depending on attendees in the class: $150 for 5-15 participants and $200 for 16-20 participants. Artists are expected to be in the Makerspace before and after to help with setup/cleanup.

Please allow us 3-5 business days for a response to your proposal. Your work and art is very important to us!

Many participants in Makerspace workshops are trying out techniques for the first time. Please briefly explain how you will guide them through unfamiliar steps or processes. Include a back-up plan if a particular tool or step does not work as intended. *
In the event we are able to partner on a workshop are you able to provide all of the following:
- Images of the workshop product for promotional purposes
- Writeup about the workshop
- Artist bio
- Headshot/photo of the artist

In the event we are able to partner on a workshop, do you consent to having your likeness, name, and the event photographed and used in EE Makerspace social content and marketing? *
Sometimes we are not able to partner with artists as it may not be the right time or programming for our Makerspace. Are you okay with Explore Ecology keeping your proposal and contact information on hand in the event we have a partnership opportunity you would be suited for?  *
