Thank you very much for your interest in joining the 5 day long filmmaking workshop at 13th Parish Jersey International Film Festival! We are back at the Jersey Arts Centre for the 3rd festival, May 18 - 21.
Kino Jersey filmmaking workshop, will take place from May 13 - 17, the week just before the festival, and culminate in a big screen presentation of your film at the JAC!
The workshop will be delivered by the expert (and fun!) team from the Off-Courts Trouville Festival in Normandy.
https://off-courts.com/What is Kino Jersey? Kino is a filmmaking movement that advocates the production of short films on little to no budget, using small crews, and non-competitive collaboration, within a short timeframe, from hours to days.
We’re now seeking committed participants who are enthusiastic about the process of filmmaking.
Experience level can be beginner level right up to someone involved in filmmaking currently, even professionally. As participants will work in three different groups, the workshop leaders will filter groups into appropriate levels.
We have just 12 places on the workshop. The workshop will include scripting, shooting and editing a film throughout the week. The locations will be central Jersey, with the final editing taking place in the JAC.
This is a very supportive and non-intimidating environment, so if you've ever been even slightly lured by the idea of making a short film, go for it!
We only ask that you ensure you keep the time period May 13 - 17 free to undertake the activities wholeheartedly, which means being available roughly 10am to 5pm daily.
To apply please fill out the questionnaire below. We will then be in touch to let you know more, and to formally confirm your place.
Thank you :)
