What you need to know
The weather can vary from cool and sunny to cold, windy or wet in early spring.

From our meeting location at Dan's Ferry, expect a 35-40min drive to the planting site.

Carpooling to the site from our meeting location is recommended. If you are able to provide some open seats for carpooling, please state so in the comments- That would be greatly appreciated!  Please comment if you need a ride from the meeting location to the planting site.

Fish and Game will provide all the tools and equipment required for planting bitterbrush. Fish and Game will provide used leather planting gloves. It works well to wear fleece/knit gloves (not provided) under our leather planting gloves. Or, bring an old pair of ski gloves with you. Other planting tools will be provided; planting bar, buckets, and trowels.  Bring your own knee pad (s) and or other favorite planting tools if you like.

Plan to plant bitterbrush plugs by hand using planting bars and hand trowels. No experience required; a brief training tutorial will be provided by Fish and Game staff. This is a great way to get involved with Fish and Game, giving back to our natural resources, and restoring habitat for Idaho's native wildlife.

What you should bring
Please remember to dress for early spring weather. You will need to bring layered clothing, rain gear or a jacket/coat, boots or sturdy shoes, a hat, and gloves. It could be rainy, breezy and cool OR it could be sunny and moderate.

Come prepared!  You will need to bring a sack lunch and water for the day.  We expect the day to be around 6 hours long, including driving.  Bring a day pack to hold your food and extra layers.  The terrain should be gentle to moderate.

A copy of your responses will be emailed to the address you provided.
