UM Rowing x Midweek Miles | Calorie Ladder Challenge

UM Rowing are back with another unique indoor rowing competition!

Join us as we switch things up with a calorie themed format perfect for Rowers, CrossFitters, endurance athletes and fitness enthusiasts of all levels.

We're proud to announce that for this event, we will be collaborating with Midweek Miles in support of WaterAidUK.

Format:

The RowErgs will have their units adjusted to calories and set to repeat intervals of 45 seconds. For each interval, participants will need to row the number of calories equivalent to the interval number, i.e., 1 calorie for the 1st interval, 2 calories for the 2nd interval, 3 calories for the 3rd interval, etc.

Each time a participant clears the required number of calories they will advance to the next round and can rest until the next interval begins. This process will repeat itself until a participant fails to reach the number of required calories and is eliminated from the challenge. The competitors who remain in the challenge for the longest will be crowned as the winners.

Prizes will  be awarded to the top 3 placing Males and Females.
