Thank you for showing interest in volunteering for our Great South Run Cheer Squad 2024.
Do you like wearing blue?
Can you cheer louder than the rest?
Do you want to help our charity runners cross the line with a smile?
We have over 70 people running the Great South Run for us this year and we'd love for you to join us to help bring them across the line by creating a sea of blue for all to see.
What we need from you:
- Be available on Sunday 20 October from 9:00am until approximately 2pm
- Bring a smile
- Wear your favourite home Pompey shirt or one of our blue Pompey in the Community volunteer t-shirts
- Help out on our stand in the Charity Village or at our Cheer Zone on the route
- Help sell raffle tickets, give out goodies and raise some money for those most in need in our community
What will you receive from us?
- Light refreshments
- Happy smiling faces
- A ticket to a home game at Fratton Park to say thank you
Children are welcome to join our Cheer Squad but we kindly ask to follow a 1 adult to 2 children ratio to help keep them safe on a busy day.
We will also be in the Charity Village and on the course for the 5k, Junior and Mini too if you're available on Saturday 19 October - which includes the inaugural Mascot Dash featuring our one and only Nelson!
Once you have completed the form, we will send confirmation of your volunteering within 5 working days.
