The informational meeting is just 15 minutes of information and 15 minutes of Q&A. No commitment and no strings. If you decide to learn more and move forward you can choose to sign up for the Next Steps Orientation.

     Orientation & Informational Meeting

     Required for anyone who wishes to volunteer, work or mentor with Second Shift. 
     
     This meeting is purely informational. You will learn all about Second Shift, the youth we serve and the
     opportunities that exist for you to give back and make a difference.
    
     *If you are attending the orientation to become a mentor, or Client Care Advocate you will need to also                  attend the training workshop immediately following the orientation OR in another evening meeting.

      *Morning events usually include a light continental breakfast or snack.  

    Mentor Training Workshop (taken either in combination with the orientation during a full day Saturday event      or in another scheduled evening meeting).

    This is a interactive workshop lasts between 3-4 hours. It provides education and training to potential                  mentors  and other "direct care" volunteers/staff who will be working with our youth. 

    * Orientation includes a snack and the training events include a meal. 

    Anyone who  decides to move forward and work directly with our clients will be required to submit to a                background screening and interview process.
