As you know, the royal family of Cognition has kept their great great great grandmother's brain preserved in a glass case in their mansion since she died, 500 years ago. It has kept the mansion safe from harm since, and it is the royal family's prized possession. However, just a few days ago, someone broke into the mansion at night and stole the royal brain. Ever since, weird things have been happening at the house, it's almost like it's haunted!

I do have some bad news for you... the architects of the mansion thought it would be a grand idea to only build one door out of the mansion: the grand entrance that you just walked in through. When you walked in, though, the door locked from the outside, and we're stuck here!!! Here's the good news: someone on the forensics team found a piece of paper tucked away in one of the entrance hall's gargoyle's mouths. She believes that the robber set up a trap in this house that we need to get out of as soon as possible. You're our head detective, so we're counting on you to get us out of here!
