DARK is a large-scale haunted attraction festival that offers adrenaline pumping entertainment including roving performers, immersive haunts, scare zones, a dance floor, local food trucks and more. 

DARK employs a variety of Event Support roles to help the event run smoothly and safely.

As a Haunt Monitor, you will be part of the Event Support team that ensures DARK runs smoothly and safely from inside the haunts. Interacting with our cast of Scare Actors and guests alike with confidence, independence and a focus on delivering excellent customer service. 

What is a Haunt Monitor?
Haunt Monitors are placed strategically through the immersive haunts in key positions to keep an eye on guests and actors and to maintain guest flow. They act as a point of communication for immediate guest experience and staff well being. Their duties include:

• Monitor guests to ensure that they are treating Scare Actors, props and buildings with respect;

• Report suspicious or disruptive behaviour to a supervisor, or event security, based on the situation;

• Encourage guests to keep moving through the haunt if they stop by using provided safety tools and equipment;

• Provide excellent customer service;

• Build and maintain a positive workplace relationship with the actors and fellow support staff

• Assist with emergency situations by providing wayfinding and communication (as directed) to guests
