Role of FCC (family-centered care) and FIC (family integrated care) in California Central Valley
Survey on Family-Centered Care (FCC) and Family Integrated Care (FIC)

The purpose of this survey is to gather information on how the concepts of FCC (defined below) and FIC (defined below) are applicable to our Central California Community and its Health care system and environment. Your time and input will yield valuable information to our community, and we thank you so much for your time !

Background: Family-Centered Care (FCC) and Family Integrated Care (FIC) are healthcare models that actively involve family members in patient care. Originally developed for neonatal and pediatric units, these models show that family involvement can reduce hospital stays, improve health outcomes, lower parental stress, and increase patient satisfaction. Some studies suggest FCC and FIC may have benefits across other patient groups, including adult and geriatric care. This survey aims to understand broader perspectives on FCC and FIC benefits, challenges, and potential applications.
