Dr. Mankowski's Research Team: Research Assistant Application
We are always accepting applications for undergraduate and post-baccalaureate research assistants. Research assistants are required to have taken PSY 321 (Research Methods) and Math/Statistics 243 and 244. Commitment is required for at least 3 quarters, and students are encouraged to sign up for academic credit.

Research assistant expectations and responsibilities:
Research assistants are expected to commit to 3-4 hours/week of work for each academic credit earned (minimum of 1 academic credit hour per academic term), with an intent to remain on the team for one academic year.

Responsibilities include:

- Maintain a regular schedule, with most hours worked between 8am – 6 pm in the lab on PSU's campus.
- Attendance at weekly research team meetings (1-2 hours/week)
    - Participation in bi-weekly "journal club" discussions
- Assistance with ongoing research projects and tasks
    - Data collection assistance (e.g., note-taking during focus groups, participant recruitment and scheduling, etc.)
    - Data entry, data cleaning, and generating descriptive data reports/summaries (e.g., documenting data entry progress or data cleaning procedures)
    - Data analysis assistance
    - Assistance with developing reports for disseminating study findings
- Administrative assistance (i.e., copying, mailing, library tasks)

Research assistant activities will primarily take place in the lab and ideally overlap with other team members
