Elevating Hearts Through Theatre Sessions 1 & 2 Application
“The day will come when the Cause will spread like wildfire when its spirit and teachings will be presented on the stage or in art and literature as a whole. Art can better awaken such noble sentiments than cold rationalizing, especially among the mass of the people.” ~ Shoghi Effendi, 3 April 1932 (from a Compilation on the Arts)

Join us in a five day workshop developed in collaboration with Radiant Hearts Theatre. This program seeks to explore and learn about the use of applied theatre to advance engagement in the discourses of society, raise our capacity for elevating conversation and increase our power of expression. A powerful tool to explore different ways of approaching topics, theatre can bring diversity to modes of learning. We are interested in how applied theatre can complement and enrich core activities. Come and learn with us.

Working in teams, participants will learn how to facilitate Image Theatre, Newspaper Theatre, and Forum Theatre and use them with concepts of social discourse, elevating conversations and teaching the Faith. Participants will leave this workshop deepened in the understanding, use and facilitation of the theatre arts in our communities and advancing concepts within core activities.

We ask that participants come in teams of at least 2 to support application of skills and learning in their home communities, but this is not a requirement.

This session is open to those 15 and older. Participants under the age of 18 need to be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian or a sponsor of the same gender over the age of 21.

The cost for the session, including housing and meals are as follows:
