Through this program, children will explore Chinese culture and language, traditional arts, and make Asian food. It will provide a warm environment, lunch, snacks , learning Chinese songs, stories, arts, and freely play with friends. Our mission is to provide each child with a positive, safe and enriching experience during spring breaks. We seek to engage each child in activities to support a diversity of interests as well as cognitive and physical abilities. Our students will explore their talents and strengths of learning Chinese culture and language.
Children will learn key competencies in this program:
Language skills
Read and write Chinese characters
Exposure Chinese culture ( foods, flower tea, crafts, and art)
Chinese calligraphy and arts (traditional painting and paper cutting)
Chinese music and dance (traditional fan dance and ribbon dance for kids)
Dr. Ding designed this enriched mandarin program. She has a doctorate degree in education and 7 years' experience of teaching children Chinese/Mandarin.
