Call for Participants-Roma Youth Policy Influencers

ternYpe International Roma Youth Network invites applications for the project Roma Youth Policy Influencers supported by the European Youth Foundation of the Council of Europe.

The project combines an international training and a structured follow-up phase aimed at strengthening Roma youth participation in democratic processes.

The international training will take place in Berlin, Germany, from 17 to 23 May 2026, bringing together 20 Roma youth activists from 10 European countries.

During the training, participants will develop skills in:

  • Policy monitoring and analysis
  • Advocacy and stakeholder engagement
  • Youth participation and democratic processes
  • Addressing antigypsyism through a human rights-based approach
  • Understanding and applying Recommendation CM/Rec(2023)4 on Roma youth participation and other advocacy tools

Following the training, participants will take part in a national monitoring phase (June–September 2026), working in country teams and supported by mentors. Each team will monitor relevant national policies or strategies related to Roma youth and produce a short monitoring report.

The results of this work will contribute to a European advocacy paper and the development of a framework for a Roma Youth Consultative Body.

Please complete this form carefully. Before applying, make sure you are available for both the full training period and the follow-up phase.

Deadline to apply: 19.04.2026
