The Madvocate is a new newspaper centering news and views from folks in Vermont who have experienced trauma, mental health system involvement, madness, received psychiatric diagnosis, institutionalization, or other marginalization by sanism.
The Madvocate is a project of MadFreedom Advocates.
We are committed to getting issues of The Madvocate in the hands of psych survivors, mad folks, and others marginalized by the mental health system throughout Vermont. In order to do so, we will be distributing newspapers at local peer support programs, community centers, locked facilities, psychiatric wards, and community mental health centers.
If you would like a free delivery to a public place, fill out this form!
If you do not believe you will have access to any of our distribution sites throughout the state, and are hoping to receive a physical copy mailed directly to you, please complete the form below.
Note: Individual subscriptions are prioritized for individuals in Vermont. The cost of shipping is being determined and will be communicated with interested individuals before shipping to confirm the shipping fee. Payment is not required for psychiatric survivors inside of Vermont who cannot afford the cost of shipment.
