The 2015 High Level Political Forum (HLPF) will be held in New York from 26 June- 8 July 2015 under the auspices of the Economic and Social Council. The theme for the session will be "Strengthening integration, implementation and review- the HLPF after 2015." An integrated programme for the HLPF and the ECOSOC Annual Ministerial Review (9-10 July) is available at https://sustainabledevelopment.un.org/hlpf/2015.

Representatives of the nine major groups and other relevant stakeholders are invited to nominate lead discussants to address the various round table discussions to be organized during the session. The nominations received will be reviewed by the informal HLPF working group of major groups and other stakeholders (for membership and ToR please see:https://sustainabledevelopment.un.org/majorgroups/hlpf) and presented to the President of the Economic and Social Council for final selection, taking into account equitable geographical distribution, gender and constituency and issue-based balance. The broad thematic areas to be addressed in the various round tables are listed below. When submitting a nomination for a lead discussant, please select the thematic area(s) that the speaker would wish to speak on. The selected speakers will be contacted once the selections have been made. The deadline for all nominations is Monday, 1 June 2015.

To facilitate participation, DESA DSD has limited funding for participants from developing countries. Please be sure to accurately indicate your need for travel funding to attend the HLPF.

We encourage you to actively engage in the HLPF working group of major groups and other stakeholders, and to collaborate with the members of this group to have your views and ideas heard throughout the process. We look forward to your active engagement in the HLPF.
