New Student Orientation Coordinator Application 2017

Each year Student Activities selects students to be New Student Orientation Coordinators. This position requires dedication and hard work, a servant’s heart and a commitment to furthering and embodying Pepperdine’s Christian Mission. As a Coordinator, you are required to provide service, leadership, mentoring, and guidance to the Orientation Leaders as you prepare them to serve incoming students and families. Coordinators assist Student Activities staff as they plan and implement
orientation. You must have served as an Orientation Leader in order to apply for the position of Coordinator.

As a Coordinator, you MUST be available Sunday, August 13, 4 p.m. - Saturday, August 26, 2017.

If chosen to serve as an Orientation Coordinator I understand my obligation to attend ALL NSO
FUNCTIONS. I also understand that it is my responsibility to promote a positive atmosphere for new
students and to uphold the Community Standards of the University. I will not drink alcohol at any
time during orientation.

In order to be considered for and hold the position of NSO Coordinator, a student must maintain at
least a 2.0 cumulative GPA and must not be on a probationary status with the University.

This application and a Faculty/Staff Recommendation are due by Monday, March 20, 2017.
