First-Year Representatives (2):
- Assists the other officers in the performance of their duties
- Assists in EASSU recruitment efforts
- Inform other students enrolled in first and second-year East Asian Studies courses at the University of any EASSU-related events
- Be registered as first or second-year students at the University during their tenure.
- Marketing and design duties for symposium March 2027 ( Please make sure your statement is aligning for this)
Chinese Cultural Coordinator (1):
- Assist in planning and organizing cultural and social events related to Chinese-speaking communities and cultures
- Bring forward event ideas that introduce students to different aspects of Chinese culture, society, history, and contemporary life
- Work with other EASSU executives to develop inclusive and engaging cultural programming
- Help connect EASSU with relevant student groups, campus communities, and external organizations when appropriate
- Promote opportunities for students to engage with Chinese culture beyond the classroom
Japanese Cultural Coordinator (1):
- Assist in planning and organizing cultural and social events related to Japanese culture and society
- Bring forward event ideas that introduce students to different aspects of Japanese culture, society, history, and contemporary life
- Work with other EASSU executives to develop inclusive and engaging cultural programming
- Help connect EASSU with relevant student groups, campus communities, and external organizations when appropriate
- Promote opportunities for students to engage with Japanese culture beyond the classroom

**The election for elected positions will take place during our First General Meeting on September 21 at EAS Lounge, 1-3pm.
