As you probably know many of your colleagues at the Times have developed enviable followings on Twitter recently. No doubt people are enjoying a peek behind the scenes. In the case of Mr. Bittman, his followers are benefiting from his openness to answering questions about how and what to cook. It stands to reason that people would benefit from your take on where to eat out. Just as the Diner's Journal Blog gave you a new medium to share picks and pans beyond the scope of your column, surely Twitter would provide you with a broader channel for sharing notable restaurants, dishes and tips.
Besides we're pretty sure that you could top @ruthreichl, @edlevine and @roccodispirito and maybe even @emeril with your follower count in less time than it takes for you to put away a porterhouse for two.
