Description of what we’ll be doing
Come help the Jewish Community Council in Far Rockaway!  The JCC of Far Rockaway was hit hard by Hurricane Sandy and is looking for volunteers to help re-paint their damaged hallway ahead of an important press conference later this month. Additionally, volunteers will help the local community get back on its feet by distributing information about Met Council’s new Benefits Access Center in Far Rockaway. The Benefits Access Center helps hurricane Sandy victims by providing much-needed benefits and legal assistance to the community. We need your help spreading the word!

Date: 3/3/2013 (Sunday)

Time/Details: Leaving at 10am from Maiden Lane (arrival app. 11am). Bus goes back for MetCouncil at 4pm (arrival app. 5pm). -> Let me know if anyone thinks this is too short a time-frame!

IMPORTANT: Please sign up if you are interested, include the phone number of the cell you will be bringing to the opportunity and be PUNCTUAL. We will be spread out after meeting.


TRANSPORTATION IS AVAILABLE FROM 80 MAIDEN LANE, LOWER MANHATTAN. You must sign up and be inside the 1st floor lobby at 10AM SHARP.  Unfortunately, we will not be able to wait for anybody who is late.

Please wear clothing appropriate for painting that you don't mind getting dirty.
