Summer Internship Application
Are you passionate about art, sports, games, or cooking?
Do you want to earn volunteer hours while leading your friends in a activity?

The Old Fire House (OFH) organizes a wide range of events, from food and toy drives, to smaller activities like 3-on-3 basketball tourneys & painting with Bob Ross night!

OFH Interns develop strong leadership, organization, and outreach skills while earning volunteer hours. Becoming an intern is more than just a way to impress colleges- it’s a way to give back while having fun with friends.

REQUIREMENTS
-Interns meet twice a month for 2-4 hours to plan, market, and lead 1-4 activities a month based on their interests.
-Interns are expected to volunteer at our Summer Time Radness Event on Thursday, June 20th 4pm -10pm
-Internship sessions are June - August
-Interns gain hours for planning, promoting, and putting on your event, plus they get 1/2 hour for every teen that attends
their activity.
-Upon request with a minimum of 3-weeks advanced notice, Interns logging over 15 hours of service may receive a letter of recommendation appropriate to work performed and a certificate of hours completed.
Activities Interns
Lead your friends in an activity or hobby you love! OFH Program Interns organize a wide range of events, from food and toy drives, to smaller activities like 3-on-3 basketball tourneys & movie nights!
Art Interns:
Attend the monthly Teen Art Collective meetings and design, curate, promote, and lead one activity a month.
Examples of past programs are, artistic egging, painting & pairing, figure drawing, and animation to name a few!
Gaming Interns:
Meets monthly to plan and promote video, board, or role playing game programs and lead one game activity a month. Examples of past programs are,Trivia, MTG, Catan Canned Food Drive, Poker Night, and pool or Ping Pong tournaments to name a few!
Music & Open Mic Interns
Meet monthly to plan, market, and hosting monthly open mic nights.
By working with artists with different styles of music, interns gain experience in event planning, time management and build interpersonal skills.
Nutrition Interns
Meets monthly to plan and promote cooking programs and lead one activity a month.
Examples of past programs are, Fruits of the World, Pizza Cult, and Nailed It: Pancake Art to name a few!
Sports Interns:
Meets monthly to plan and promote sports programs and lead one activity a month.
Examples of past programs are, Cornhole tournaments, 3 on 3 b-ball, Gaga, and Hoops For Food to name a few!
Audio Internships
Details: The cohort of audio production interns meets once a week for 3 hours, day and first meeting date are still to be determined. After mastering the basics of the studio, the internship will culminate in each intern recording and mixing a performance by one of OFH's Open Mic performers. These songs will be published in a digital compilation album shared online
