The 2023 UMES Summer Bridge program will be an on-campus/in person experience.  The on-campus experience will be respectful of COVID health restrictions and concerns.

This summer program is designed to strengthen your academic skills, study habits, time management skills and help prepare you for the challenging academic environment you will encounter during your matriculation at UMES.  This program will also give you a beneficial head start on your journey at UMES, and will assist in your adjustment to collegiate life.

Payment Schedule
$1,250 due in full by July 1, 2023. You will be responsible for submitting the full cost of the program in advance, and upon successful completion of the program, the funds you submitted will be credited toward your 2023-24 fees.  If you do not successfully complete the program, you will be responsible for the cost of the program. You will be required to submit your $100.00 acceptance deposit in addition to this Summer Bridge fee or any other deposits. You may submit your acceptance deposit via your Future Hawk Portal at futurehawk.umes.edu.    All fees are non-refundable.

Second Payment:           April 3, 2023                     $250.00                   

Third Payment:               May 1, 2023                      $250.00               

Forth Payment:              June 5, 2023                     $250.00

Fifth Payment:               July 1, 2023                       $250.00

Please submit your payment(s) to the Summer Bridge Program by credit card  by calling UMES student accounts at 410-651-6092 or 410-651-6093, Monday - Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  To process your credit card payment, please provide the student's name and indicate Summer Bridge Program when you speak to a representative via telephone.

You may also submit your payment via US mail by sending a check or money order (indicate in the memo section of the check or money order "Summer Bridge Payment") before July 1, 2023 to:

Please do not send cash.

The methods of submission above are the only ways to submit your payments to the Summer Bridge Program.  

By federal law Financial Aid cannot be used to cover Summer Bridge fees. Total cost must be paid in full prior to the start of the program.
