Location: 6678 Owens Dr. Suite 102, Pleasanton

Theme: We spend a lot of time on smartphones and computers every day. Some programs are intuitive and easy to use, while others are clunky and unfriendly. The difference is often due to User Experience (UX) Design. Come and join us to learn what is UX design and design thinking, and explore it with hands-on activities. Also learn how you can become a UX designer, which is a unique career in the high tech world, it also fits for students who are less interested in engineering.

Guest Speaker: Ms. Amy Wang is currently working at Workday as a hybrid UX designer and researcher. As a UC Berkeley graduate majored in Cognitive Science, Ms Wang studied a variety courses in computational modeling, neuroscience, philosophy, linguistics, and psychology, and found her passion in UX. Her love for art, painting, and travel also played a big role in her journey into UX. She will also share her experience studying in London.
