Nash U NYC Application 2019-2020: A Siblinghood Beyond High School!
Hey Nashers!

I hope you all had a great summer and are looking forward to your last year of high school!

Sadie Nash Leadership Project currently has open applications for Nash University (Nash U), a program to support you with your college application process. This is an opportunity to determine what the best plans are for YOU after high school through building your college list, applying to college, writing your college essay, applying for scholarships/financial aid, and connecting with folks who have careers you're interested in & more!

Nash U is all about giving and receiving support as you and your peers go through this journey together. In addition, to support from your peers and from us, you will have access to adult volunteers who will help give you individualized support throughout the college application process.

ELIGIBILITY: 1) You must be a senior in high school or high school graduate and 2) have completed at least ONE Sadie Nash program previously.

SCHEDULE: From October through January, Nash U meets 2-3 times a week on Wednesdays and Fridays from 4:00 - 6:00pm AND the first and third Saturday of each month from 1pm to 3pm. We will meet on the following Saturdays: 10/5, 10/15, 11/2, 11,16, 12/7, 12/14, 12/21. From February to May, we will only meet ONCE A MONTH on the second Wednesday of each month.

LOCATION: 4 West 43rd St., Suite 502, New York, NY 10036

STIPEND: Participants are eligible to receive an end-of-year stipend up to $200 based on their attendance and the submission of college application materials by DECEMBER 18.

BENEFITS: Sadie Nash will also cover costs UP TO $100 for ANY application expense, including application fees, score report fees, college deposits and SAT test costs. Transportation will be covered based on need.

Wednesday, September 18th - PRIORITY DEADLINE (people who apply by this date will be considered first)
Friday, September 20th (4:00-6:00pm) - PRIORITY INTERVIEW
Sunday, September 22nd - APPLICATION DEADLINE
Wednesday, September 25th (4:00-6:00pm) - FINAL INTERVIEW
Friday, September 27th - DECISIONS SENT
Friday, October 4th - NASH U ORIENTATION

1) Bring a completed college essay on the first day of class on October 4th
2) Bring a completed college list with 10 colleges on the first day of class on October 4th
