🌍 About the Project
This European Solidarity Corps project focuses on youth work and community engagement in the city of Tampere, Finland. The volunteer will join Tampere Youth Services, the main municipal provider of youth work, which supports young people aged 9–29 through local youth centers, digital platforms, and community events.
Youth work in Finland has a strong tradition of promoting active participation, inclusion, and learning by doing. As a volunteer, you will become part of a supportive and experienced team of youth workers, helping to organize activities for and with young people in a welcoming and creative environment.
💡 Your Role and Main Tasks
Your exact tasks will be adapted to your skills, interests, and learning goals, as well as the needs of the youth center. Activities may include:
- Supporting youth workers in daily activities at a local youth center;
- Helping to organize workshops, hobby groups, and cultural or social events;
- Participating in outdoor or digital youth activities (for example, through Discord-based youth work or community events);
- Bringing your own ideas and initiatives — your creativity is highly valued!
You will always receive guidance from experienced staff and never work alone. This is a great opportunity to gain practical experience in youth work, develop personal and social skills, and make a real impact in the local community.👤 Who We Are Looking For
