Applying for the NSF GRF this year?

Then you might be interested in an upcoming workshop. It will focus on the personal statement, in the context of the 'broader impacts' and 'intellectual merit' criteria. Conducted by Dr. Kelly Barry, Director of the National Fellowships Program and interim Dean of Academic Services.

Thursday, September 18, 2014, 12-1pm
1830 Building Classroom 2-108
You are not expected to bring drafts to the workshop. We'll have samples of winning applications as a point of reference. An rsvp to Dr. Barry is helpful, but not required kbarry@jhu.edu). As a resource for you, there is a portfolio of previous winning NSF GRF applications from JHU students in the Career Center (Garland Hall, 3rd Floor, regular hours are 8:30-4:30). Just walk in and ask to see the portfolio.
